9.30am-3.30pm Daily

Concert
There will be an informal (free) concert at 2pm on the final day for friends and family to see what we have been doing during the course.

The Cellos Rock! tradition is to have home-made cake afterwards!

What you need to bring

*Cello! (or violin/viola for Strings Rock!) -please label the case
*Bow - please label
*Cellists: Spike holder - VERY IMPORTANT! - please label
*Music stand - please label
*Packed lunch

Chairs and snacks are provided.
Please specify any allergies on the application form.

Music

You do not need to bring any music unless there is a solo piece you might like to play in the concert.

Music is provided for all group activities and aims to include something for everyone, whether it is a theme tune or from a famous opera!
For example: Theme tunes/musicals: The Sound of Music, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, James Bond, Pink Panther and Wallace & Gromit.
Numerous pieces by Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Bartok and many 20th & 21st century composers.

Structure

A rough outline of activities is as follows:

9.30am-10.30am Warming up games and improvisation
BREAK 30 mins
11am-11.50am Smaller ensemble pieces
BREAK 10 mins
12-12.30pm Group musical games
LUNCH 60 mins
1.30-2pm Informal solo performance class
2-2.40pm Orchestra/Group class
BREAK 20 mins
3-3.30pm Musical games all together

Cellos Rock! Merchandise

After the concert there will be limited edition Cellos Rock! rock sticks, t-shirts, bags, mugs, pencils etc. for sale.
All profits go to the Cellos Rock! Bursary Fund.
